Los Angeles-based rockers Trapt will release their third studio album on August 5th and support it on Motley Crue's CrueFest tour.

The 11-song Only Through The Pain will be issued by Eleven Seven Music. The studio follow-up to 2005's Someone In Control was recorded at producer GGGarth Richardson's Vancouver studio. Richardson (Rage Against The Machine, Hedley) also produced Trapt's self-titled 2002 debut, which sold more than two million copies worldwide. Trapt Live! was released last year.

"Eleven Seven is perfect for us," Brown said. "We have a lot more independence. As far as musically, we went up to Canada to work on the album with our producer, GGGarth Richardson, and there was no label people there at all."

Lead single "Who's Going Home With You Tonight?" is approaching Top 35 on the Alternative chart that can be heard along with "Contagious" on Trapt's MySpace page.

Lead guitarist Simon Ormandy left the band in March and Robb Torres took his place. Singer/guitarist Chris Taylor Brown and bassist Peter Charell have been with the group since they formed it in 1997, while drummer Aaron "Monty" Montgomery followed David Stege and Robin Diaz.

As for Crüefest, Brown predicts "soccer moms throwing their thongs on stage. It'll be a wide range of people. I love it when people bring their kids and they get lost in the whole rock 'n' roll moment as well. It's so cool."
