Warner Bros. Records artists James Otto and Michelle Branch (formerly one-half of The Wreckers) are featured along with artists like Cyndi Lauper, Missy Higgins, Craig David and Eric Hutchinson on the original motion picture soundtrack to the new movie The Sisterhood Of The Traveling Pants 2.
Otto's title track from his album, "Sunset Man," appears on the soundtrack, as well as a brand new song from Branch, called "Together," that was specifically written for the movie.
The film's music supervisor, Julia Michels, said, "Michelle reached out to us early in the process as she was interested in writing a song; while her label, Warner Bros. Records, was releasing the soundtrack. It was very organic how the music picture came together. Michelle wrote the perfect song for the end titles, and a number of other artists on Warner Bros. Records also worked well on the soundtrack for the film. The movie has wonderful music that serves the film brilliantly."
The Sisterhood Of The Traveling Pants 2 reunites Amber Tamblyn (who plays Tibby), America Ferrera (Carmen), Blake Lively (Bridget) and Alexis Bledel (Lena) as "four lifelong best friends who share an unbreakable bond through the unpredictable events of their lives." This film catches up with the girls in the summer following their first year of college.
