American Idol season seven finalist and Arista Records artist Kristy Lee Cook is gearing up for the release of her first album, called Why Wait. The 10-track collection, produced by Grammy-winning songwriter Brett James, will hit stores September 16th.

Why Wait includes Cook's current single, "15 Minutes Of Shame," her version of Lee Greenwood's 1984 Top 10 hit "God Bless The USA," (which she performed on American Idol) and "Not Tonight," a song that Brett James co-wrote with Chris Lindsey and another Idol alum & labelmate, Arista Records star Carrie Underwood.

"15 Minutes Of Shame" is at Country radio now and is available for sale at all digital music retailers. Kristy Lee will continue touring with the American Idol finalists throughout the rest of August and until the tour ends September 13th.
