T.I. has signed a three-film deal with Screen Gems Studios despite the prison sentence he's set to start early next year. According to Variety.com, the first of these films is Bone Deep, which is about "a group of bank robbers who pull off a daring highrise heist and are dragged into one last job by a freshly paroled cohort." Idris Elba of The Wire and Matt Dillon also appear in the movie, a T.I. co-production.
The second Screen Gems movie is Boulevard, the details of which are unknown at this time along with the name of T.I.'s third feature.
MTV has also grabbed T.I. for an eight-episode reality show. The documentary style series will follow the rapper as he performs more than 1,000 hours of community service in preparation for a one-year prison sentence.
Born Clifford Harris, T.I. was arrested just before the BET Hip-Hop Awards last October and charged with possession of unregistered machine guns and silencers, as well as possession of firearms by a convicted felon. He will begin his prison sentence in early 2009.
T.I.'s latest album, Paper Trail, will hit stores on August 12.
